Construction Scheduling

A schedule that is
a tool, not a poster.

CPM schedule development and independent schedule review in Primavera. Baseline, monthly updates, delay analysis and recovery planning.

Most construction schedules are produced once to satisfy a contract requirement and never used again. A schedule that is actually maintained is a management instrument, and it is also the only reliable defence when a delay claim arrives.

Development and review

Schedules are developed from scratch where none exists, and reviewed independently where one does. A review asks whether the logic is sound, whether the durations are achievable, whether the critical path is real, and whether the sequence reflects how the work will actually be built.

Updates that mean something

Monthly updates that record actual progress are what convert a schedule into evidence. Without them, a delay analysis at the end of a project is reconstruction rather than documentation.

Recovery

When a project is behind, the useful question is which specific activities on the critical path can be compressed, resequenced or overlapped, and what that costs. That is a schedule exercise, not a meeting.

Common Questions

Straight answers

We already have a contractor schedule. Why review it?

Because it was prepared by the party it will later be used to measure. Independent review regularly finds logic that is unrealistic, a critical path that does not reflect the real constraint, or durations that were never achievable.

Do you use Primavera specifically?

Yes, Primavera is the working tool, which matters when a contract specifies P6 deliverables or when a claim will be evaluated on that basis.

Can you help once we are already behind?

Yes. Recovery planning is a defined service, and the sooner it happens the more options remain.

Is this only for large projects?

Formal CPM scheduling suits medium and large projects, but schedule review and delay analysis are valuable on anything where time is contractually significant.

Received a delay claim?

The schedule record decides it. Get someone who reads that record for a living.
