Control the schedule and the budget
before they control you.
Understanding construction durations and costs is crucial to a successful construction project. Estimating in RSMeans, scheduling in Primavera, and claims analysis when it goes wrong anyway.
Structural engineering firms do not usually offer project controls. This one does, because the same person spent years as a construction contractor and has watched more projects damaged by schedule and cost failure than by structural failure.
The two disciplines reinforce each other. A structural engineer who prices and schedules work designs differently, and a cost estimate produced by someone who can read the structural drawings is a better estimate.
Independent by design
These services are most valuable when they are not produced by the party being measured. An owner’s independent estimate, an independent schedule review, an independent claims analysis. That separation is the product.
